The unusual circumstances of Dáša Baušová’s early life in the former, communist Czechoslovakia created a backdrop for a unique vision of a complex world gone askew. Psychological, ideological and sensual elements are inseparable in her images and narratives. Her work appears in private collections throughout the United States, South America, Asia and Europe, and public collections at the National Czech and Slovak Museum and the Museum of European Art in the US. Her work was exhibited at Bridge Art Fair during Art Basel, Miami. She currently lives and works in Aspen, Colorado.
